INTERNSHIP: Full-Stack Developer (Closed)
Full Time | 1 month with possibility of extension | Unpaid
As Hamide Design Studio, we are working on a digital platform targeting readers, libraries, and publishers to create a democratic digital library experience. We are looking for a full stack developer intern, who would help us create the first functional prototype of the project, which is currently at pretotype stage. The internship is unpaid and initially 1 month full time with possibility of extension.
We are looking for someone, who is genuine and hardworking, who is cultured and design oriented, and who wants to build a career by working on good projects that have positive impact on humanity. The candidate should have a good educational background and practical experience that would enable him / her to easily contribute on the development of the project. The candidate should be sharp minded, holistic, detail oriented, creative, and curious. The candidate should be interested in art, culture, design, books, libraries, technology, and humans.
Ability to understand and communicate with the design team both verbally and visually through sketches, wireframes, simple mockups, etc.
Ability to understand the project and oversee the technical and design requirements of the project. The candidate should be confident in taking responsibilities when making decisions on the technical side and be able to explain and argue these decisions.
Good knowledge and experience in back-end and front-end programming; have a good understanding of and practical experience in working with several languages, databases, server side languages, server technologies, and responsive design. It is not expected that the candidate is good at everything, but we expect the candidate to have a “I can figure it out within a reasonable time” attitude.
Good time management skills, following deadlines.
Ability to follow the studio rules and values like recycling, not wasting anything, and cleaning after. No racism and no sexism is allowed.
Being part of a project with a good purpose from the very beginning, taking active and important role in the creation of a product, have your impact.
Gaining experience in working with design studios and creative projects.
Gaining experience within your field.
